The 'Cross' denotes that the College is run by a Christian body, inspired by the ideals of Jesus Christ and His doctrine. The two beams of the Cross, one vertical and the other horizontal, invites us to love God and fellow human beings by our own lives. It is Christ who said, "There is no greater love that a man can have that to lay down his life for his friends." It is the same love, God's love that Tagore longed to carry in his being. We read in Geetanjaly, "Let me carry thy love in my life, as a harp does its music and give it back at last with my life."
The 'diya' represents 'gyan' (knowledge). Just as 'diya' diffuses light dispelling the darkness, may the Spirit of God diffuse the light of knowledge and wisdom to dispel the darkness of ignorance and doubt and lead the students to the life of light. The 'dome' in the background denotes that the College is situated in a region of atomic power stations which is the speciality of the region. The book below reminds each student the importance of reading to attain knowledge which will lead them to a bright life. The motto 'LIGHT TO LIGHT' inspires each student to integrate into his/her life, the light of knowledge and good values to dispel the darkness, which is the cause of fear of all kinds, from the minds, to become flames of love and truth in service of the society.
For the first time in his life my son jumps out of bed first thing in the morning without being told to get up, does his homework without being told, has completely
eliminated video games from his life, and spends all his free time on creative projects. This College has transformed our lives.A First-Year Parent
One thing I realized during [my son’s] senior year there, was how kind and responsible he had become …not only for himself, but for friends and family.
The College works as a community to really develop responsibility, sensitivity, and resourcefulness in the students.Alumni Parent
